Only yesterday, Tekken boss Katsuhiro Harada was tweeting about how he was trying to catch those responsible for previous leaks, claiming that they contain ‘old information’, that has since been ‘changed or deleted.’ When that announcement will be made is unclear, but it could be as early as a tonight, as it’s the Gamescom Opening Night Live event today and while there aren’t many brand new games that are expected to be announced, a release date for an already revealed title is perfectly possible. The information comes from datamining various online stores, a process that has proven accurate in the past for leaker Aggiornamenti Lumia, and is almost always proven correct once there’s an official announcement. One thing that wasn’t clear before is when Tekken 8 would be released, but now a new leak suggests that it’s due out on January 26, 2024. Street Fighter 6’s entire roster leaked long before it was announced, we knew most things about Mortal Kombat 1 before it was officially announced, and details have been leaking about Tekken 8 for months. It looks like Tekken 8 will be out early next year, as Bandai Namco deal with separate leaks about the game’s character roster line-up.įighting games don’t seem to have had much luck keeping secrets lately.
